Dear Friend!
"It's one thing to be grateful. It's another to give thanks. Gratitude is what you feel. Thanksgiving is what you do." – Tim Keller
On this Thanksgiving Day, I want to express my gratitude for bringing joy into the hearts of people in Canada. Here is a recent letter from a prisoner. The name has been changed. Enjoy:
"Hello, My name is John Johns. I am writing to let you know that I am currently incarcerated at C.E.C.C in Lindsay, ON. I just wanted to inform you that last week, the chaplain stopped by my range with his cart, and he asked if I would like a book to read. I pointed to one called 'Jesus? Who Is He?'
It was from your ministry. A very enjoyable read. When I looked on the back of the book, it said Canadian LifeLight Ministries. I was excited because I had come across a new ministry I had not heard of. I love Bible correspondence courses. All of this material has helped me in my spiritual growth and has also aided me in better understanding God's Word. I would like to express my gratitude to your ministry for making this happen.
I am being released from custody very soon and would like to continue to follow your work, as well as send a donation. I was wondering and praying if it would be possible to send me a copy of the 'LifeLight' New Testament and possibly any other book.
I would like to have it sent to my house so that I will know I have received it. Thank you so much. God bless. John Johns."
"Thank you for your consideration. Your support can make a big difference in advancing our ministry's mission and spreading hope to those in need."
